Yes. Unlike many "online RAR extractor" sites that upload your archive to a remote server for processing, DuckConvert decompresses the file entirely on your own device. Your .rar file and everything inside it never leave your browser or get transmitted anywhere, which matters if the archive contains personal photos, documents, or other sensitive data.
Not currently. This tool only supports standard, non-encrypted RAR archives. If your .rar file is password-protected, extraction will fail with an error. For encrypted archives, you'll need a desktop tool like WinRAR or 7-Zip that supports entering a password.
Not yet. The extractor processes one uploaded file at a time and doesn't stitch together separate volume files, so multi-part RAR sets (such as archive.part1.rar + archive.part2.rar, or archive.rar + .r00 + .r01) currently aren't supported. This works best with a single, complete .rar file.
There's no artificial limit imposed by DuckConvert, but since the entire archive is loaded into your browser's memory to extract it, very large files (multiple gigabytes) can be slow or run into trouble on devices with limited RAM. For best results on lower-memory devices, we recommend keeping archives under a few hundred megabytes.
