How Does This Work Privately?
Most background removal tools require you to upload your photos to a cloud server where the AI processing happens. This can be a privacy concern for personal photos or sensitive documents.
DuckConvert uses WebAssembly (WASM) and ONNX Machine Learning models directly inside your web browser. When you select an image, the AI model is downloaded to your device cache, and all the heavy lifting (detecting the subject and removing the background) happens on your own CPU/GPU. Your images are never transmitted over the internet.
